While Apple Watch I've been wearing it on my wrist since 2017, I only found my way to smart rings relatively recently. It's true that I've been attracted to the idea of them for a relatively long time, but it seemed to me that in terms of their functionality miniIn the early years of their existence, they simply offered little. However, when I tried the first low-end piece in the form of the Aligator Ring more than a year ago and subsequently exchanged it for Ultrahuman Ring Air, I fell in love with this inconspicuous technological gadget quite quickly and today you will never see me without it. However, the combination of a smart ring on one hand and a smart watch on the other raises questions in many people as to why I actually wear such a "combo". I therefore think it is appropriate to answer this question.
If you are expecting some sophisticated answer, the following lines may disappoint us. In short, it can be said that Apple Watch and a smart ring (now specifically still Ultrahuman Ring Air) I combine them mainly because each of these products gives me different possibilities of use, and it is their combination that gives me exactly what I want, in maxin an ideally comfortable form.
In other words, at Apple Watch I've gotten incredibly used to quickly checking notifications without having to pick up my phone. Thanks to this, I'm always up to date on everything important, but at the same time I have my hands free to a certain extent, which is nice for many activities. ProWell, let's face it, you don't want to take your phone out of your pocket for every vibration, especially when there are multiple vibrations in a row and they could all be important. In that case, checking notifications with just a quick glance at your wrist makes a lot of sense to me.
In general, it can be said that the display is Apple Watch huge added value that to a large extent actually allows you to partially discard iPhoneWe're not just talking about incoming notifications, but also quick weather checks, control Apple Household, a quick look at a map or a calendar, etc. These are all things that a smart ring won't allow you to do, and which I personally use very intensively, so I can't imagine completely replacing my watch with a ring now.
On the contrary, what I can imagine is activity monitoring. It is true that in this respect I still primarily rely on Apple Watch, but that's actually just because they are perfectly connected within Apple ecosystem with the Activity and Health applications, so you have everything at your fingertips without having to deal with it too much. However, the ring can also track your activity really accurately, and for example, its heart rate measurement is different from the one taken through the Apple Watch The difference is usually only in the lower units of your heart rate. So accuracy is definitely fine for me.
Specifically in the case of Ultrahuman Ring Air I really like the fact that the ring tries to track a lot, and while we can of course talk about how accurate its metrics are, as a technology fan and at the same time a person who likes to learn something about their body from time to time, to understand why they are feeling this way or that way, this data is pretty cool. I Apple Watch They can measure a lot, but I dare say that the clarity of the collected data clearly works in favor of the ring, or rather its accompanying application. Ultrahuman, which will tell you a lot "at first glance", from the classics such as the number of steps, through your resting heart rate or HRV to your body regeneration score, which consists of a number of metrics that can influence it. But you will also learn about your stress level, brain "pollution" or even the real age of your brain or heart depending on the measured metrics.
Personally, I appreciate the sleep tracking the most, which is both accurate and quite detailed, and most importantly, it doesn't bother me at all. I don't like sleeping with a watch on, so Apple Watch I put it on the charger on my bedside table every night, but I'm still quite interested in how well I slept and, consequently, what I can improve in the future to sleep better. Thanks to these measurements, I adjusted my caffeine intake in coffee and cola drinks, just to give you an idea, and I dare say that I also improved my evening diet, and after these adjustments, I dare say that I really sleep better.
It is extremely interesting to see how your sleep, regeneration and many other metrics change, for example if you go to bed at a different time than you are used to, for example because you met up with friends for a few beers. Honestly, if I hadn't been tracking the data for a long time, I would have had absolutely no idea how much even one stupid beer or a small heavy meal before bed can mess with your sleep.
It is thanks to the combination Apple Watch and a smart ring, I can probably get all the data I want to track and that makes sense to me for some reason, without having to "overcome" anything or change my habits (like sleeping without a watch). And thanks to that, I can say that this combination suits me perfectly and I can't imagine "throwing away" one or the other item and stopping using it at the moment. But if that were to happen, the ring would honestly be better, because its complexity is of course less compared to a watch. However, at the moment, it is a perfect accessory that, combined with data obtained from other sources, can provide you with an incredibly comprehensive overview of your body.
