Co-founder Apple Steve Wozniak has once again commented on the current boom in artificial intelligence, and his words are definitely worth paying attention to. While most of the technological world is uncritically celebrating AI today, Wozniak remains firmly on the ground. He admitted that the current form of artificial intelligence has rather disappointed him. According to him, AI seems very capable at first glance, but upon closer inspection it lacks the most important thing. The answers it generates are said to be too perfect, smooth and flawless, but that is precisely why they lose their humanity. Although they often make sense and are factually correct, they seem empty, as if they lack the real experience or emotions that are essential for natural communication.

In this regard, Wozniak draws attention to a fundamental limit that, according to him, no current technology can overcome. Artificial intelligence has never lived a real life. It has no memories of its own, it has not experienced the mistakes, successes or personal decisions that shape human thinking. This is precisely why, according to him, AI is often unable to fully understand the true intention of a question or the depth of the topic it is talking about. His criticism comes at a time when AI is becoming a common part of the internet and everyday work. Generated texts flood websites, social networks and media, and at first glance it is often difficult to tell the difference between a human and a machine. Nevertheless, according to Wozniak, the difference will manifest itself sooner or later. The lack of authenticity is something that readers are subconsciously aware of, even if they cannot name it exactly.

It's interesting, that Apple as a company, it has been approaching artificial intelligence more cautiously in the long term than, for example, Google or MicrosoftInstead of massively deploying generative tools, they focus more on their practical use and integration into specific functions, which can be quite telling in the context of Wozniak's words.
But this does not mean that Wozniak completely rejects artificial intelligence. On the contrary, he admits that it is an extremely powerful tool that can significantly improve work efficiency and open up new possibilities. At the same time, he warns against people starting to perceive it as a full-fledged replacement for human thinking. Technology can be fast, accurate and efficient, but without real experience and emotions, he says, it will never be fully comparable to a person. His words open an interesting question for the future. It is not just about how smart artificial intelligence will be, but also about how much we want to preserve humanity in the content we consume. In an age of perfectly generated texts, this may be the most valuable thing we have left.
