Streaming service Apple TV+ has once again shown that it can handle marketing in a big way. On the occasion of the premiere of the second season of the series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, it prepared a unique drone show in Los Angeles that made history. According to available information, it was a new world record.

3,000 drones, Godzilla and Kong over the city

The spectacular performance took place last Friday in Los Angeles and involved an incredible 3,000 synchronized drones that rose up to 150 meters in the sky. Iconic silhouettes of monsters – Godzilla, Kong and other motifs from the MonsterVerse world – gradually appeared in the night sky. The entire event was created in collaboration Apple TV+ and Legendary Studios.

The show was also attended by the actors from the series, including Kurt Russell and his son Wyatt Russell, who appeared on site. Apple subsequently released an official promo video, while fans flooded social media with footage taken directly from the street.

Apple pushes the boundaries of marketing again

This is not the first unconventional marketing move Apple TV+. Last year, the company attracted attention with a campaign for the second season of the series Severance, when in New York's Grand Central Terminal discovered a fictionalancLumon's drone show takes this concept even further, combining technology, pop culture, and a live experience on a scale you can't usually see.

The second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters premieres on February 27th. The first episode will be released immediately, with additional episodes following weekly until May 1st. Viewers can watch the first season now on Apple TV+. Apple With this spectacle, it clearly shows that in the fight for the attention of viewers, it does not want to be just another streaming service, but a brand that creates events, which I find very nice. And I myself am often surprised at the level of the shows and films produced by it. Appyou.
