WhatsApp is preparing a new messaging option that will allow users to use an interesting effect. The content of the message will not be visible to the recipient immediately, but only after the recipient takes action to reveal the message. The feature appeared in the latest test version of the application in the environment TestFlight.

The recipient will have to tap on the hidden text to see it. So it’s a feature that I use almost every day in iMessage and which is not unknown to iPhone users.

The way it is written should also be interesting. Today, you can manually insert asterisks for bold or underscores for italics. And in this case, it will also be possible to use special characters. Specifically, two vertical lines at the beginning and end of the text. That is, the writing in the form "||hidden content||". The application will then automatically recognize the text as a Spoiler. According to the available information, it only works with text messages for now. It is not clear whether it will be possible to hide other types of content in the same way, such as images. As I said above, I regularly use the effect in iMessage. So something similar will appear in WhatsApp Welcome to all ten. If the "reveal" includes some nice graphics or effects, so much the better.
