The Czech app Ventusky introduces version 50, one of the biggest updates in its history. It is based on two key innovations: full integration of the highly accurate ECMWF model and a newly redesigned user interface that significantly simplifies and simplifies working with data. Together, these changes take the overall usability and accuracy of the app to a new level.

The newly included ECMWF model, created by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts , is one of the most respected global forecasting systems. It has been requested by users for a long time and is now available in the application at a resolution of 9 km. This makes it possible to monitor the development of temperature, wind, precipitation, cloud cover or pressure fields with greater accuracy, which is particularly helpful in rapidly changing weather.

To take advantage of this shift, the app has undergone a significant redesign. Many elements have been simplified, organized, and visually unified, making data easier to read and map navigation smoother. Graphs and forecasts have been adjusted to make them easier to navigate, and search now provides more precise results for cities, regions, mountain ranges, and even ski resorts.

Version 50 also includes new geopotential layers at 850, 500, and 300 hPa. These values describe the behavior of the atmosphere at higher levels and help to better understand the formation of weather patterns, such as jet streams, high-altitude troughs, and ridges. The application thus offers a more detailed view not only of the weather at the Earth's surface, but also in the atmosphere above it.
