It looks like the era of ultra-thin phones is ending before it even really got started. After Samsung failed with its model Edge and subsequently Apple with his iPhonem Air, many other manufacturers are also giving up on thinness. So it seems that a thin phone is not a path that makes sense to users.
Since September, there have been signs that iPhone Air does not sell according to expectations, which were subsequently confirmed by more and more analysts and reporters. And because Apple always sets trends, the big Chinese players seem to have quickly pulled back. Xiaomi is said to have had its own “true Air" model, Vivo planned to be extremely thin for its S series. But after what it showed iPhone Air, projects are said to have stopped, frozen or are being quietly reworked. Even eSIM solutions that were earmarked for these ultrathin news, now according to leaks they are going elsewhere. In other words, repeat sales failure AppNobody wants lu and Samsung anymore.
However, it can be said with some exaggeration that the failure iPhone Air was somewhat expected. Apple namely u Airu opted for a 5,6mm profile, but had to pay the price in the form of a smaller battery and only one camera. This would still be understandable if the phone started at the price of the regular series. But with a price tag of 999 dollars or 29,990 CZK, only slightly lower than iPhone 17 For, it works Air more like a stylish exhibition than a full-fledged one iPhoneAnd (unfortunately) sales are also corresponding to this, which are expected to be very low.
To make matters worse, Samsung went through a very similar story. Galaxy S25 Edge was supposed to be the Korean answer to "Air trend", but it reportedly ended up exactly the same. It too suffered from weak sales, a cancelled successor and aonec stop for production. It is therefore absolutely not surprising that when the two biggest players get burned on the same idea, it is quite clear that the market will quickly retract like a spring back to a safer shape. UltraThin phones sounded like an attractive idea on paper, but reality proved everyone wrong.
With the current price tag on Heureka of CZK 24,890, with VAT deducted and a reduction in the tax base, it's not so bad anymore and the phone's price makes sense.
When it comes to twenty, even an ordinary person might think about whether to take this phone or another one.
I honestly prefer this one over the others, unless I really need something this phone doesn't have.
On the contrary, I appreciate what this phone has, which is its thinness and weight.
#team_iphone_mini
It only has that thinness and weight in advertisements and PR statements. Although it boasts 5,6mm, in reality it is 11,3mm and 165g is not exactly small (for comparison 12 mini 133g, 13 mini 140g and 17 177g).
I guess I get it, people don't want hacked phones, they won't use it, it's irrelevant... why did you buy it, because I can. I won't lie, if I can afford it, I'll buy a "flagship" not a compromise.
A hacked phone wouldn't matter, but not at an unhacked price
Agreed, a price under 20k would suit him.
If only they would return to mini, which was not even a failure
Price is a big consideration, for me it's all about the camera, I've been buying iPhones for years except for iOS mainly because of the quality of the photos. I take pictures with it often and like it, especially of my children. About 30% of my photos are taken with a telephoto lens and another 10% with a ultra+macro. Design-wise it's for me Air absolute top and I would take it immediately, but one camera in 25/26 is simply not enough and that's why I went for the 17 Pro again, even though apart from the camera it has cons Air I don't appreciate anything, both in terms of appearance and technology. On the contrary, I'm carrying a significantly heavier and less pretty phone... Too bad.
And why buy it too? AIR when the PRO costs almost the same and the camera is completely different...
Only a fool would buy a phone with a crappy camera and crappy battery life just because it's thin in one part but extremely thick at the top. Apparently there are fewer of them than Apple assumed.
I don't know why they didn't just make it 17. mini, that would make more sense, meaning 17 air and I don't really understand its price.
Yes, iphone air I love it, but for me the mistake is the size of the diagonal. When minimalism should have been a little smaller and like excuse me, I have big hands, but 6,7 inches like S25 edge I can't operate it with one hand and that's a "no way" for me. Air it is simple, beautiful, light, but not 100% thought out. It would be enough to reduce dynamic island and that flashlight is simply the way to hell. From iphone air I feel like I want to have the perfect design in my hands again. iphone 8, but with a display across the entire front panel and yes, preferably in white. So a smaller, slim, smooth design in a really miniThe smaller design means that the hole in the display is smaller. And yes, for 30, the 17 Pro model or for 30 airBut the 17 Pro's design is a close call.
