Apple Although it guards its new products like an eye in its head, the certification authorities are no longer so strict. In recent days, the American FCC has published documents that clearly indicate the preparation of several new devices, led by a new MacBookem Pro and upcoming iPad Pros with the M5 chip.
For example, the model number A3434 appeared in the documents, which most likely belongs to MacBookfor the Pro with M5. In addition, there are also markings that correspond to the 11" and 13" iPad Pro, both in Wi-Fi and Cellular versions. While many technical details cannot be read from the documents themselves, they confirm at least the most important thing, namely that Apple is already in the final phase with its innovations. Because companies only start certification processes when the machines are ready to be launched on the market.
Apparently, the new iPad Pros will support Wi-Fi 7, while the MacBooku Pro is missing this mention so far. This could mean that we will have to wait a while longer for a faster wireless connection standard for Apple laptops, which is quite a shame. After all, if iPads and iPhones can handle it, this standard would definitely suit Macs as workstations. However, the absence of this standard may indicate that Apple used its own N1 chip in iPads to provide WiFi, Bluetooth, and Thread networking, while it cannot yet be used in Macs.
The timing is even more interesting. The FCC typically publishes these materials just a few weeks before the actual launch, which means the M5 iPad Pros could be revealed as early as this fall. MacBookFor M5, M5 Pro and M5 Max should follow later, probably between the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, however, given the certification process, we would not be surprised if it Apple revealed straight away with iPads.
The whole news story is all the more interesting because yesterday evening, unboxing video of the M5 iPad Pro from Russia, which revealed everything essential. Combined with the fresh leak from the FCC, such an early reveal seems almost a certainty that Apple will officially reveal its news very soon.
