Google Maps gets a new logo design on Android as well iOS. What is the reason for this change? Read the details and find out what's coming!

Google Maps changes face: Popular navigation app AndroidiOS is getting a new logo design. Why this change? Google hasn't officially explained why it changed the logo, but it seems to be mostly about branding. While the new logo won't make things any faster or offer better navigation, it could be a preparation for a larger app redesign or a unification of the visual identity across platforms.

Where can you find the logo? The new look is located in the lower left corner of the map. Previously, users saw the traditional Google logo in four colors (blue, red, yellow, and green). After the update, only the black and white inscription appears here Google MapsThe search bar at the top of the app, however, still retains the four-color Google logo and icon. Google Lens, so the full transition is not yet complete.

What else is changing? Not much so far – at least in terms of navigation and features. The four-color logo still appears in the search box, and not even on the web mobile version maps.google.com has not yet seen a change. So if you feel that your Google Maps no different from the previous version, you are not alone.

How to try the change? Android users can update the app in Google Play Store and check if the change has taken effect. On iOS download the app from App Storeif you don't have it installed yet. iPhone users can also use Apple Maps, eventual beta green Apple Maps via web browsers.
