It seems Apple TV+ is betting on safety and wants to entertain its viewers, in addition to new work, with a sequel to one that has already been a success on this streaming service. Now, there have been quite loud rumors that a sequel to the film Greyhound is coming to the service. This was one of the first significant films to shine on this platform, both for its setting in World War II and thanks to a number of great actors, led by Tom Hanks in the lead role.

Filming is set to begin in January 2026 in Sydney, Australia, meaning the premiere will be on Apple TV+ is expected to be released at the end of 2026 at the earliest, or possibly later. As for the plot, the sequel is supposed to follow the next chapter in the story of Captain Kraus and the crew of the destroyer Greyhound, who, after landing in Normandy, move to the Pacific theater to help turn the tide of the war.
