Following the example of Netflix and Disney+, the streaming service Max has decided to crack down on sharing accounts outside of the household. In the US, it is introducing the Extra Member Add-On feature, which allows you to add a second user outside of the household for a monthly fee. And although this change only applies to the United States for now, it is almost certain that it will arrive here sooner or later.

The “Extra Member” feature costs $7,99 per month in the US, and the added member gets their own account, password, and one profile. However, a significant limitation is that they can only watch content on one device. The advantage, on the other hand, is that if the main user pays for, for example, a Premium plan with 4K resolution, the second member has access to the same qualities for a fraction of the price. Max This step clearly indicates that it is approachingonec free sharing of accounts between households. Users who connect from another location will likely soon see a prompt to pay either the new tariff or the aforementioned surcharge.

And how is it here?

In the Czech Republic so far Max has not introduced any account sharing fee and does not offer it here either variantu with ads, which is the most affordable in the US. Czech users can only choose between the Full HD and 4K versions, with the price set at 219 CZK and 299 CZK per month, respectively. In addition to the difference in resolution, these tariffs also differ in that while one allows you to watch the service simultaneously on two devices, the other on four.
