Apple released a minor update last week in the form of iOS 18.4.1. Since this is a minor update, users will only receive a few fixes. However, we know from experience that even these minor updates can have a negative impact on battery life. The battery life test was conducted by the i channelAppleBytes in the GeekBench 4 application, for iPhones SE 2020, XR, 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16. As always, you can find the full test below this paragraph.
As you can see in the graph below the paragraph, most of the iPhones tested performed worse. Some even significantly. For example, iPhone 15, which reached historic highs in testing minimum. It also fell iPhone 16 iPhone SE 2020 iPhone XR i iPhone 12. On the other hand, the iPhones 11 and 13 have improved, although not significantly. Has the update affected the battery life of your iPhone in any way?
I have iPhone 16 Pro and I think the battery life has improved but we'll see what others write :)
Yesterday after the update to 18.4.1 iPhone 15 total brick! Can't even turn it on via hotkeys and connecting to PC. No betas were allowed, iPhone My wife ran it fine for a year, she had automatic updates enabled. So far, only one article has been published on phonearena – fortunately I am not the only one. I will complain, but I also contacted Apple support. No answer yet.
Thanks for the info, we're already writing about it.
Thank you
You write like a breeze, but above all, it clicks.
jj battery is much worse. The phone drains a lot more overnight when not in use. 13 pro max ..
15 Pro – a total mess. When traveling in a car (wireless CarPlay) and when the navigation is on, the battery percentage disappears before my eyes 🙉
Iphone 14pro total battery collapse after 18.4.1. From about 40% it lasts about 2 hours even with very little use and from 20% every percentage drops maybe every minute. Really hell. Phone overheated.
