Customize the Photos interface to your liking
With the arrival iOS 18 Apple has significantly expanded the personalization options in the Photos app. You can now customize the categories you see based on your preferences. Simply open the app, scroll all the way down, and tap “Customize and organize.” You can then decide which sections to display and even rearrange their order to your liking. This feature lets you keep exactly what you use most often at hand—and elegantly hide everything else.
Photos as wallpaper designs
iOS 18 brings an elegant new feature for those who want to have a stylish and personal wallpaper. In the Photos app, you will find the “Wallpaper Suggestions” section at the very bottom, where the system will automatically offer you a selection of images from your gallery that are suitable as a background. You don’t have to search for anything complicated – iPhone will select the most impressive snapshots for you. This feature requires synchronization with iCloudem, which gives the system access to your entire library.
Pinned collections under control
Pinned Collections is another great new feature that makes it easier to stay organized in Photos. If you work with specific albums often, you can pin them and always have them quickly at hand. In the “Pinned Collections” section, just tap “Edit” - then you can add, remove, or reorder collections. If you want to create a completely new collection, it’s a matter of seconds. This keeps the entire experience clear and tailored to your needs.
All your handwritten notes in one place
Do you often take notes by hand and take pictures of them on your phone? iOS 18 No more searching through hundreds of photos. Just go to the “Other Albums” section and tap “Handwriting.” This feature automatically collects all the photos that the system recognizes as handwritten text. Great for students, creatives, and anyone who relies on paper and pencil but still wants to have everything digitally at hand.
