Many people can hardly imagine their daily lives without a quality power bank. The times when mobile phones could easily last for over a week on a single charge are over, and in order for the phone to last a whole day with more active use, it is sometimes necessary to use an additional power source in the form of a power bank. But how do you choose a power bank that is really worth it and has an interesting design? The answer to this question may be the SHARGE Flow Mini, which recently arrived at our editorial office for testing. So let's take a closer look at it.
Technical specifications, processing and design
SHARGE Flow Mini is exactly the type of device that will win you over at first sight. Its transparent body combined with an elegant metallic sheen looks modern and stylish, but at the same time it is not just a design for effect - everything has its purpose and the whole looks very compact and clean. With dimensions of 77,8 × 33 × 25,2 mm and a weight of only 100 grams, it resembles the size of a film roll, thanks to which it fits comfortably in your pocket and is not a burden even when worn all day.
The practicality of the power bank is underlined by the integratedonewhich means you don't have to carry any cables with you. Plus, you can easily choose between USB-C and Lightning version, so it is compatible with both iPhonem, as with most modern devices. There are a total of two charging ports available, one of which can be Lightning or USB-C and the second is USB-C konewhich on the cable. Despite its small size, Flow can handle Mini charge two devices simultaneously, while maxThe maximum power is 12 W.
Inside is a 5 mAh battery, which is enough for everyday charging of smaller electronics. There is also support for protocols such as PD000, QC3.0 or Apple 5V/2,4A and of course there is complete protection against overheating, short circuit or overvoltage. In addition, the power bank also meets the conditions for transportation on an airplane, so you can pack it in your hand luggage without any problems.
Testing
Although wireless charging has been the trend in the power bank world in recent years, the SHARGE Flow Mini As you can see from the previous lines, it relies on charging via a physical port. However, it does this a little differently than most of the competition, which uses a phone charger.onem connects via cable. SHARGE Flow Mini thanks to the integrated exchangeableonewhich connects to the phone "directly", so to speak. This eliminates the need to carry a connecting cable with you and to deal with its routing if you want to use the phone while charging.
Thanks to the fact that the body of the power bank is very compact, despite the fact that it hides a capacity of 5000 mAh, it is not a problem to use the phone while charging through it. Sure, it becomes a little heavier and its center of gravity changes, which makes it a little harder to use, but once you get used to the higher weight, using the power bank will not be a problem. And I even think that for some people this solution may be more pleasant than magnetically attached power banks on the back of phones, which in my opinion affect the user comfort when using the power bank a little more.
A big benefit of this power bank is that, thanks to the de facto wired charging, there are no such large losses when charging your electronics as in the case of wireless power banks. The losses when charging with a classic and wireless power bank are a topic that deserves the attention of anyone who does not want to waste energy unnecessarily. A classic power bank, i.e. one that charges via a cable, achieves an efficiency of around 85 to 90% in ideal conditions, which means that most of the energy actually ends up in the battery of your device. In contrast, wireless power banks are much worse off - due to losses in energy transfer through the air and heating of the coils, the efficiency often drops below 70%, and in some cases it is even lower.
In other words: if you care about every percent of capacity or are going on a long trip without access to a socket, a classic cable is still a safe bet. Wireless charging is convenient and elegant, but it still has some catching up to do in terms of efficiency. This means that the 5000 mAh from the SHARGE Flow Mini you won't be able to cheat, but thanks to charging via a physical port you won't be that far from perfect use. In my case, I iPhone 16 Pro with a battery capacity of 3582mAh charged 1x fully and the remaining energy in the powerbance then it was enough for about 15%, which is not a bad result at all for me. And thanks to the support for 12W charging, the percentage of charge of your device increases quite quickly.
What I really like is the fact that despite its miniThe power bank supports charging two devices simultaneously, in addition to the integrated port, you can also use the cable through which the power bank is normally charged. In this case, the SHARGE Flow Mini again, it distributes "only" 12W between the ports, so charging is slower as such, however, as an emergency measure to save the iPhone and, for example, AirPods are really cool for me. Just keep in mind that while the integrated port is available in both USB-C and Lightning version, the rubber charging cable has only a USB-C connector.
Summary
SHARGE Flow review Mini The result cannot be anything but positive. In terms of design, this is a really beautiful product that boasts really nice technical specifications, which make using this power bank very pleasant. So if you are a technology enthusiast who is tired of classic power banks or you simply don't like wireless, the SHARGE Flow Mini is exactly the product that can make you very happy.
