Technical specifications, processing and design
The FIXED MagPad Pro impresses at first glance with its precisely crafted aluminum body in an elegant Space Gray color that blends perfectly with the ecosystem. Applu. The charging surface is covered with a soft silicone material that protects the glass back of the phone from scratches. Thanks to integrated magnets, the charger easily and precisely attaches to compatible iPhones from the 12 series and above, including those in the MagSafe cover, and remains reliably in place even when the phone is in use. A practical accessory is a folding metal stand that allows you to position the phone at the ideal angle for FaceTime or watching videos while charging.

Testing
Because I've been using MagSafe practically since its arrival.oneAs a big fan of this solution for iPhones and in recent years I have practically never charged anything other than using magnetic, or rather MagSafe chargers, I was really curious about the MagPad Pro. And I have to say that I was right. In terms of design, it is a very nice charger and in terms of its use, this is doubly true. The declared up to 15W charging thanks to Qi2 support is of course available, which in practice means that from 0 to 100% you are new iPhone 16 Pro can be charged in about two hours, which is a complete luxury by wireless charging standards.
At first, of course, charging is faster, but as the battery gradually "fills" with energy, charging gradually slows down, and the last percentages then take quite a long time. Of course, this is not the fault of the charger, but a protective mechanism that (not only) Apple I use it on my iPhones to ensure that the batteries in them suffer as little as possible while charging. What I personally like is that the charging pad hardly gets hot when charging, so you have absolutely no problem using your phone while charging.
I also really like the integrated circular stand, which allows the charger to act as a reliable stand when charging. The range of the stand's joint is really large, which allows you to tilt the phone exactly as you need it. It's also nice that you don't have to use it only in landscape mode, but you can also use it in portrait mode - although of course with less stability since it will be standing. iPhone in such a case, lean on its shorter side. Otherwise, there is nothing to worry about here - in short, a reliable, practical and attractive solution.
In fact, the only thing that may have a negative effect on someone about this charger is its thickness of 9,2mm, which is not small at first glance. I admit that at first I was a little surprised by this thickness, but after using it for a longer time I realized that there was no other solution here. The charger is actually wider only to be able to hide the support ring that serves as a stand when folded. If it did not have a stand, its thickness would be comparable to Apple MagSafe charger, to the tenths of a millimeter. However, it is good to know about this and take it into account when buying.
Summary
The FIXED MagPad Pro magnetic charging pad can hardly be rated otherwise than positively. Its main advantage is Qi2 support, thanks to which it can charge iPhones 12 and newer at 15W, which wasoneancient privilege only original Apple MagSafe chargers. Thanks to the magnetic attachment to the back of the phone, you can use it without any problems even while charging, while the flip-up stand copying the shape of the charger is just the imaginary icing on the cake, which can be really sweet thanks to its great usability.
It suddenly makes the charger a fairly universal companion, which, in addition to providing you with energy, also provides you with comfort in the form of the ability to simply lean your phone on it while charging and, for example, watch videos, make video calls, and so on. FIXED MagPad Pro is therefore a very pleasant surprise for me and at the same time a product that I can only recommend, especially to owners of iPhones 15 (Pro) and older. Compared to Apple MagSafe 1 offers you more and at a similar price.

isn't qi2 the same as mag safe 2? mag safe 2 should charge 25w?
Qi2 is the equivalent of MagSafe 1, i.e. standardized 15W charging.
Fixed up to 15W 1299,- CZK vs. Apple up to 25W 1290,- CZK ;-)
Can Jirko please test 16e Qi charging with an aftermarket MagSafe cover on the original MagSafe puck, will it have any effect on charging time and/or heating? Thanks a lot in advance :-)
I'm planning on it, I just haven't gotten around to it yet :( So please be patient for a while.
Sure Jirko :)
