Commercial message: When you hear the word "stock market 2025," many investors think of the word chaosStocks have been volatile since Donald Trump's return to the world stage – and in recent weeks, that's no different. However, a quiet winner has emerged that many might not have expected: Poland.
Volatility in the US, growth in Poland
The US markets in particular have been on a roller coaster ride over the past week. Trump announced a new round of tariffs on most of the world, to which China responded with retaliatory measures. As a result, US indices fell by more than 10% in two days - both the Nasdaq and the Russell 2000 found themselves in a bear market, i.e. down by more than 20%.
Shortly after, however, Trump announced a 90-day tariff relief (except for China), which triggered a sharp reversal: the S&P 500 jumped 9,5% and the Nasdaq even 12%. However, US markets have remained in the red since the beginning of the year.

Who is doing the best?
Despite these fluctuations, some markets are performing surprisingly well. Here's a quick comparison:

Why is Poland doing so well?
Poland has become one of the fastest growing economies in Europe in recent years, which is also reflected positively in the performance of its stock market. The main factors behind this success include:
1. Record investment in the economy
Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that investments in Poland will reach more than PLN 2025 billion (approximately USD 650 billion) by 160. These investments are directed at key sectors such as defense, green energy, information technology and transport infrastructure, which strengthens economic growth and increases investor confidence.
2. Stable economic growth
The Polish economy is one of the fastest growing in Europe. GDP growth is expected to approach 2025% in 4, supported by strong domestic demand and increasing investment.
3. Development of the technology sector
Poland is becoming an attractive place for technology investments. Companies like Google and Microsoft They are planning significant investments in the country, which is strengthening the technology sector and contributing to the growth of the stock market.
4. Development of the energy sector
Poland plans to build 17,9 gigawatts (GW) of offshore wind capacity, requiring support of around €144,2 billion. This ambitious plan involves cooperation with investors such as PGE, Orlen, Equinor and Orsted, and contributes to strengthening the country's energy independence and economic growth.
5. Effective use of European funds
Poland has been successfully using EU funds to modernize infrastructure and boost economic growth. In 2025, the government plans to use PLN 26 billion of EU funds to strengthen security and defense.
These and many other factors together contribute to the Polish stock market exceeding expectations and becoming one of the best performers in the region in 2025. However, the coming months will show whether our northern neighbors can maintain this lead.
