Creating folders by dragging and dropping

To effectively organize your reminders in the Reminders app, you can use the drag-and-drop folder feature. If you find yourself getting lost in too many reminders, folders can help you categorize them and make them easier to find. Creating a folder is very easy: just hold your finger on a reminder and drag it onto another reminder. This will automatically create a new folder that will hold both reminders. You can then name the folder whatever you want to keep your reminders even more organized.

Division into sections

For users with iOS 17 and later, organizing lists in the Reminders app is easier with the ability to divide them into sections. To create a section, you first need to open the desired reminder list. Then, tap the three dots in a circle icon in the upper right corner of the screen. From the menu that appears, select New Section. This simple process allows you to divide your lists into clear sections and better organize your tasks and reminders.

Web search

To search for text you've entered in Reminders, simply highlight the text and select Search Web from the menu that appears above it. For example, if you save a reminder that mentions a book or place, you can start searching for that term on the Internet directly from the reminder.

Sharing content from other apps

The integration of Reminders with other applications is very practical. If you select some text, a link, or a calendar event in another application, such as an email client, browser, or messages, you can easily create a reminder from this content. Just tap the "Share" button and select Reminders from the menu. At that moment, a new reminder will be automatically created with the content you shared. Thanks to this, you can quickly save important information, links to interesting articles, or tasks you need to do, and then have them all clearly in one place in Reminders.

Display in columns

V iOS In Reminders 17 and later, you can use a convenient column view for your to-do lists. To activate this view, simply open the desired reminder list. Then, tap the three-dot circle icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. From the menu that appears, select View in columns. This simple step divides your to-do list into clear columns, making it easier to visually navigate and manage your tasks. This arrangement is ideal for large lists, where you will appreciate better clarity and the ability to easily navigate between individual columns.
