It arrived in the European Union on Monday as part of iOS 18.4 after many months of waiting Apple Intelligence, or rather its first functions. Although they do not yet understand Czech, if you have at least a basic command of English, or other supported languages, it is not a problem to try out some of its functions by using your iPhone 15 Pro or later, you can change the language to a supported language. If youApple Intelligence It's not exactly appealing and you still don't know whether it makes sense to activate it, or rather try it out. We'll try to answer you in the following lines.
As stated above, to activate Apple Intelligence in the Czech Republic, just set your preferred language on your phone to one of the supported ones, for example English. Once you do this and your phone is reset, all you need to do is go to your phone settings Apple Intelligence turn it on, then wait a while for all the necessary additional files to download and then all the fun can begin. That is, if there is any fun to be had at all.

Genmoji and Image Playground
If you're a fan of AI-generated images, Genmoji and Image Playground will certainly be interesting features of the system for you. While the first function is, in simple terms, an emoji generator that you can then send to your contacts as an emoji or an image, the second function is - as its name suggests - a kind of image playground where you can try generating various larger images. In both cases, the functionality is seamless and I must say that the results don't look bad at all.
The catch is that unless you are 10 years old, I don't think you will enjoy fooling around with image generation for very long, even though the quality is very good. But leaving aside this opinion of mine, here you can Apple probably deserves praise. Generation is fast (faster than, for example, in ChatGPT) and generators will understand even simple English. So if you want to have fun and like such nonsense, you will be satisfied here.
Visual Intelligence
For me personally, a much more interesting gadget than the two mentioned above – that is, until you realize that it is actually just an integrated ChatGPT and Google LensAs you can probably guess, this is a function that allows you to capture, for example, a flower, fruit, car, shop or anything else with your camera and quickly remember it.chat find additional information, or rather, through ChatGPT nochat generate a verbal description of what you're actually looking at. Especially in combination with the Camera Control button from the iPhone 16 (Pro), this is a really nice feature that works reliably and can be interesting.
The catch, however, is that it's nothing new. Native applications can also generate a verbal description of an object in an image. ChatGPT (and in Czech, too), while you can search for additional information about the object from the viewfinder via the function Google Lens, which is integrated into the Google application. Here too, we are also talking about the fact that the results will be primarily in Czech, while Apple Intelligence she also likes to search in foreign sources. Moreover, it is fun that Apple Intelligence Sometimes it "goes crazy" and pulls information from the image about things you didn't want at all. For example, you want information about a tree, but the AI tells you about a company in the background.
Clean unwanted objects from photos
This feature can be used without any iPhone settings. In other words, if your primary language is set to Czech or Slovak, you will see this feature in the native photo editor. Its evaluation is also a big challenge in its own way. This is because the results of this feature are really varied, because while sometimes AI can erase an unwanted object from a picture so perfectly that you almost don't understand how well it was possible, in other cases AI can literally ruin the picture. And unfortunately, even pictures that sometimes seem unsalvageable, because in them, for example, you remove prominent objects on a solid background. So we can't talk about a revolution here either - especially since in App Store or you can find applications on the web that handle similar things in the long term.
Sorting emails into folders
Perhaps the most interesting part Apple Intelligence As a result, it is "boring" to organize incoming mail in the Mail application. It is divided into several folders, thanks to which you can get a very good overview of your mail and, for example, browse only the folders that you need at the moment, because they are important to you at that moment. I must say that the division itself is very reliable and therefore also perfectly functional. On the other hand, I do not think that organizing is something that would be a completely revolutionary thing that other mail clients, although perhaps a little less reliably, could not handle.
And that's all, friends...
Although I would love to use Apple Intelligence in the Czech Republic he wrote much more, the truth is that it is actually not possible to write more. This is because the functions that we have available to us kind of end here. If you do not use your phone completely in English and really with everything (including communication, notifications from applications and so on), you do not have Apple What more can intelligence be used for?
Notification summaries unexpectedly don't understand Czech texts, article summaries or emails don't understand Czech or Slovak for you, and you can forget about AI suggestions for replies in emails, or reformulation of your words, and so on in Czech. I almost want to say that there's nothing to worry about yet, and if you've tried it out so far, Apple Intelligence they didn't dig it, you may not mind it in the end. I honestly don't know how long, or whether I will use it at all, if in the end it is just a Apphunting versions of years of available solutions. .
I use AI for ChatGPT – can be done classically in Czech and I don't have to do it through their appIn the system settings, you can also log in using an account that you already have. It's more convenient.
Visual intelligence also comes in handy – especially when I need to find something quickly.
If then Apple will start adding features that will be more like an AI personal assistant and differentiate it from other models, so that will be great.
Machine learning has actually been in devices for several years, so it's just a matter of putting it into a more usable form.
It works in Czech, but only after ChatYou tell uGPT to speak Czech. At the same time, it does not work in Apple Intelligence Czech for ChatSet GPT as the default language, so you will always ask for Czech. Unlike the application ChatSo GPT is more complicated for me – especially when you ChatYou can set GPT as a shortcut to an Action button, for example.
I tested it on my iPad yesterday.
I write directly in Czech and it responds with ChatGPT.
The only thing I disabled is for the AI to keep asking for connection and permission to share data to ChatGPT.
I have a Visual on the action button Intelligence.
Sure, so you confirm what I write – there is a need for perception on your part in Czech. It is not native in Czech. Moreover, in general, Visual Intelligence is about analyzing what the camera sees, not about chatwithout capturing the object. I don't mean to say that you are using it wrongly, but minilittle by little nestandardly yes. And for this use of yours you will ChatGPT ultimately works better due to the possibility of more complex use.
Well, by default, AI asks in all languages if I want to share data to ChatGPT if AI can't handle it itself.
On iPad/iPhone, this is disabled in the AI system settings - once.
Then I just write a query in Czech and the AI will answer it. ChatGPT is cracking – since the AI doesn't know Czech, it will probably just pass it on.
So I don't have to ask every time, but I get an answer in Czech straight away using ChatGPT.
Sure, I understand what you mean and it's all exactly as you write. But when you use Visual Intelligence you take a picture of an object and ask the function for additional information about it, it always starts in English. Anyway, yes, once you start on ChatGPT integrated into Visual Intelligence in Czech for info, he will tell you in Czech. You don't even have to ask, just ask in Czech.
It works great as you describe, so thanks for the tip.
