The year 2025 should be one of the most interesting for iPhone fans in recent times. In addition to the classic iPhones 17 and 17 Pro As for the basic and high-end models, this year we should also expect the arrival of the new generation of the iPhone SE, which is currently known as the 16E, and perhaps the unveiling of a brand new Air or Slim series. The latter is supposed to appeal mainly to its minithinness, attractive design and overall combination of features of the Air series and ProAnd as it is now, at least according to the informationmacAccording to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, there really is something to look forward to.

In the previous weeks, we have heard several times that it is wanted Apple The thickness of the iPhone 17 Air/Slim will be significantly below its previous maximum, which is 6,9 mm for the iPhone 6. And while some speculations have recently spoken of a thickness of around 6,1 to 6,5 mm, leading analyst Ming-Chi Kuo came out a few hours ago with the statement that at its thinnest point the iPhone 17 Air should be just 5,5 mm thick. However, it should be added that Kuo may not be denying the information at all.macfrom before, but only specifies them.

Earlier estimates of a thickness exceeding 6 mm could theoretically count on the thickness at the location of the phone's camera, while Kuo is based only on the thickness of the chassis. In other words, it is practically clear that the iPhone 17 Air will have a significantly protruding camera, just like the previous generation, and it is possible that the super-thin body will make this protrusion more prominent than it has been so far.

Another interesting piece of news that Kuo hastened to share is that due to the need to fit a large enough battery into the body of the phone, the physical SIM card slot, which takes up quite a lot of space, had to be removed. In this regard, the iPhone 17 Air will rely solely on eSIM, i.e. the digital version of the SIM card, which is supported by iPhones from 2018 and the XS/XR model.

But that's exactly what it could be for Apple somewhat of a problem, since eSIM is not allowed by the government in China, and it is therefore a question of how the Californian giant will deal with this complication. After all, this country is very important for him in terms of sales, and it is hard to imagine that he would not sell the 17 Air here. But we will find out everything only in September, when the news is to have its premiere.
