Christmas has always been associated with Christmas lights, decorating our homes, shops, parks, squares and everything around us. The catch, however, is that what looks beautiful to the eye, so to speak, may not be worth anything through the lens. If you have the standard camera settings in your iPhone, your footage will most likely be flickering. That is, various decorations, light bulbs, and similar things that surround the markets will be flashing. However, there is a fairly simple trick to eliminate the risk of flickering lights.
How to film Christmas lights without annoying flickering
- Open Settings
- Continue to the Camera section and then the Video recording subsection
- Use the slider to activate "Show PAL formats" and then select 25 fps from the formats
This simple setting will increase youranci.e. that the Christmas lights in your videos will not flicker unpleasantly. However, we intentionally write "you will increase theanci" and not "completely eliminate flickering". This is because unfortunately it may not help with LED lights, as they often use PWM control/power/brightness regulation at different frequencies, which is why flickering may not be eliminated even when the frame rate is adjusted. But this trick is definitely worth a try. So happy and cheerful!
