Apple has for many years been in the habit of starting some functions of its operating systems gradually, for example depending on legislation and the like. This is exactly why the hearing test function offered by iPhones in combination with AirPods Pro of the 2nd generation has not (officially) arrived in the Czech Republic iOS 18.1. It is true that some domestic apple users managed to launch the function, as confirmed by their screenshots on social networks and the like, but it was apparently just a mistake, because the Czech Republic was missing from the list of official countries. But that happens with arrival iOS 18.2, which is scheduled for release next week, will change.
RC beta released yesterday iOS 18.2 indeed revealed that Apple in the public version of this system, the hearing test with AirPods Pro 2 will be made available in a number of other countries, led by the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Spain and Great Britain. However, for the function to be available, it is except iOS 18.2 it is necessary to have AirPods Pro 2 updated to at least firmware 7B19 or later. However, firmware updates happen automatically and cannot be completely controlled, so they are a bit of a matter of luck. If you don't have the firmware yet, connect your AirPods to an iPhone, iPad or Mac with a WiFi connection and let the headphones charge. In this scenario, the updates are updated.
