When Google bought out a favorite years ago navigation application Waze, many have wondered how exactly the company will use this acquisition. The most likely scenario then appeared to be the implementation of the most useful functions from Waze, which are without a doubt drivers reporting complications on the roads, which eventually happened. However, Google is going even further in "stealing" Waze - it has now started to take information that drivers report to Waze for its Google Maps.

Apparently, the novelty was introduced by Goolge relatively recently in order to provide drivers using Google Maps with even more comprehensive information about the route. At the same time, Google does not hide the fact that these are driver reports from Waze in Google Maps, quite the opposite. In a pop-up window that asks the driver to confirm a traffic jam or other problem on the road, it informs that the matter in question has been reported in front of them by drivers from Waze, and by confirming or denying the information, the driver will now provide up-to-date information on the status of the given problem and thus simplify travel to others. So this is without a doubt a nice upgrade that can inform you about the current situation on the road in a more comprehensive way than it was until now.
