Japan's JAXA space agency has launched the latest Kirameki 3 defense satellite on an H3 rocket, which will boost the country's military communications network. The launch went according to plan from the Tanegashima Cosmodrome and the satellite successfully reached Earth orbit. The move is part of Japan's 2022 security strategy as the country begins to increase its defense capabilities in the face of growing threats from China, North Korea and Russia. Kirameki 3 communicates in X-band, which allows it to transmit data reliably. The satellite will provide stable communications for Japan's armed forces on land, in the air and at sea. This satellite complements the existing Kirameki 1 and 2 satellites, creating a triple system for secure and efficient military communications.
