When Apple announced the release on Monday Apple Intelligence na iPhoneand iPads in the US, in its press release we learned "under the line" that the first feature Apple Intelligence should be available to Mac users not only in the US but also in the European Union. " Mac users in the EU have access to Apple Intelligence in US English with macOS Sequoia 15.1. Features will begin rolling out to iPhone and iPad users in the EU in April Apple Intelligence. This will include many basic functions Apple Intelligence, including writing tools, Genmoji, redesigned Siri with richer language understanding, integration ChatGPT and others,” the press release specifically stated. The vast majority of us therefore lived in the belief that with a Mac set to Czech by default and with a Czech location Apple Intelligence But the opposite is true.

Although you won't find Fr Apple Intelligence and the functions associated with it, not a single line in the Czech official description of the macOS Sequoia 15.1 update, which you can read in full read here, one AI feature macOS is still hiding. You can find it in the Photos application, specifically in the native editor, which you launch via the "Edit" button. Once you've done so, you'll see a new option called Clean up next to the Edit, Filters and Crop options at the top of the window. As you probably already guessed, this function can remove unwanted objects from photos and use AI to "finish" the background so that the removal of the object is ideally not recognizable.
Before the first activation, the function must be downloaded, which fortunately is a fully automated process that takes only a few seconds, as well as the preparation of the given function. Once everything is done. The fun in the form of deleting objects from photos can begin. Apple although he instructs you in this act with the words: "Click, brush, or circle the object you want to remove. Pinch or expand to move the view or adjust the size," however, during our testing, photos could only be deleted by "smearing" them with a brush, not by simply clicking. Respectively, sometimes an object in the photo "sparkled" for us, with the fact that it could then be clicked on and removed in this way, however, these were only very few cases and, moreover, they were always small things - i.e. a shoe in the photo, a bowl on table and so on.
As for the results, they are frankly quite debatable. Sometimes he can Apple Intelligence remove an object "at first glance" almost perfectly, but sometimes it has significant problems and what is surprising, even on a photo that it was able to edit perfectly before. For the best results, we found it useful not to be lazy and always "brush" the entire object that we want to remove from the photo with a brush, and not just its outline. When completely "brushing" the AI usually showed better results, which then only needed to be fine-tuned with a few more edits. However, the positive thing is that you can always easily go back in the edits, even if you remove the object from the photo and confirm everything with "Done". Even if you return to a photo edited in this way after some time, it can be reset to its original form.
While the strap from Apple Watch she deleted the AI nicely, she mutated my hand badly.
At the same time, you may occasionally encounter the fact that the editor will refuse to remove an object from your photo, because it will be too large, and apparently the AI would not be able to disguise its removal well enough that it would even make sense to create something like that. Sometimes you come across the fact that the objects are removed, but the AI doesn't "understand" what kind of background would make sense for the given photo, so it makes a mistake. Overall, however, this is a rather interesting function that can keep a person busy. However, it must also be objectively admitted that similar functions have been offered by the competition for a long time and according to many foreign users who could Apple Intelligence tested in previous weeks, even in a form that is significantly better. Therefore, precisely in this way Apple it certainly won't make a hole in the world.
The Retouch application can do this better even without AI 🥱 And I've had it installed for more than three years.
Yep, I've been using the paid version for about 5 years
