The theft of a luxury sports car in Connecticut seemed like another chapter in a long list of unsolved crimes. The thieves had apparently chosen a very valuable loot and seemed to be successfully hiding it. However, fate had other plans. Forgotten AirPods as saviors

A luxury Ferrari worth $575 was recently stolen in Connecticut. When the owner noticed that his expensive car was missing, he didn't hesitate to contact the police immediately. Thanks to the Find My app's feature - or rather, because the thief happened to forget his keys in his car - the police were able to find him. AirPods connected to this service – managed to determine the approximate location of the lost wireless Apple headphones, and therefore the stolen car. The police were able to quickly go to the scene and arrest the suspect. After a while of tracking, the police managed to catch the suspect and the stolen car at a gas station.

This case once again proves how modern technology can help in the investigation of criminal activity. Originally designed to easily locate lost devices, the Find feature has proven to be an extremely useful tool in the hands of police officers as well.
