If there's one thing I've been really excited about in recent years with iPhone cameras, it's the macro mode first added to the iPhone 13 Pro (Max) and 15x optical zoom on iPhone XNUMX Pro Max and this year tooneeven the smaller iPhone 16 Pro. However, while optical zoom will likely remain a privilege of the Pro series in the future, in the case of macro mode Apple this year, it "got it" and for the first time in history, it offers it natively on the basic iPhones 16 (Plus). For me personally, this is a great step, because taking macro photos is really fun and even if you don't take photos very often, when you return to macro from time to time, you are usually amazed at what you can see on objects in front of the lens thanks to this mode. And since I tested the macro mode as part of my review of the basic iPhones 16, below you will find a taste of what you can do in a few minutes in the autumn garden with this phone.oneI can take a picture.

As you can see, flowers in particular usually come out really nice when taking macro photos. It is true that, for example, in a light wind, capturing a similar photo with at least some focus is quite a challenge, but if you have fast fingers, you can do quite a bit of magic. Of course, I don't mean to say that my photos are particularly great. This is really just an example of what you can "snap" thanks to the macro mode in a few minutes during your lunch break at home. For me, macro photography is iPhone really great fun because it offers you well-known things from a new perspective.
