Factors affecting price iPhone:
- The exchange rate of the crown against the dollar: iPhone prices in the Czech Republic are also affected by the exchange rate. If the koruna weakens against the dollar, this will be reflected in the higher price of the device.
- Taxes and duties: The price of the iPhone includes VAT and other fees, which increases the price compared to the US.
- New technologies: Every new generation of iPhone brings innovation, which increases its value and price.
It's quite interesting to remember it like this. Anyway, when I read it that way, I can't shake the impression that the price increase is actually slowing down, or at least not accelerating as much as it could. If I compare it to the average salary at that time, it's not so crazy.
In addition, Apple from time to time tried to bring something cheaper to the market, e.g. iPhone SE (I mean the original one,) or iPhones Mini, so even though we have an almost fourfold price increase here, there are also circumstances that dull it a bit. I would be quite interested to see what this progress is like for other brands.
