Application selection when opening links
V iMessage You've also had the option to choose which app you use to open a link someone sent you in a message for a long time. How do you do that?
- Long press the link you want to open.
- A menu of quick actions will appear
- Select the application in which you want to open the link.
You can open the link to the article in, for example, Safari and the link to the map again in Apple Maps whether Google Maps.
Efficient message copying
Do you need any of the messages in iMessage copy and paste somewhere else? Instead of highlighting, selecting, copying, and pasting, try this faster, more efficient method:
How to do it?
- Press and hold the message you want to copy.
- Drag the message away from the conversation.
- Release your finger at the desired location in another conversation or in an application that supports text input (such as Notes).

Want to copy part of a conversation and paste it into an email?
- Press and hold the first message in the conversation you want to copy.
- Swipe down. A preview of the selected messages will appear along the way.
- Keep swiping until you reach the Mail app.
- Release your finger and the selected part of the conversation will be inserted into the email as a quote.
Menu customization
To the left of the message input field, you'll find the + button in the Messages app. This is used to display other options – adding stickers, sharing your location or perhaps starting an Escort. You can easily customize the content of the menu, which is hidden under this button. How to do it?
- In a conversation, tap the + button next to the message field.
- An options column will appear.
- Press and hold the button you want to move.
- Drag the button to the desired location.
- Release your finger.
Hide typing indicator
Do you want to iMessage write messages without revealing that you're working on them? There are several ways to get around the annoying typing indicator:
Airplane Mode:
- Turn on Airplane mode in Control Center.
- Write and send a message.
- Turn off Airplane mode.
Dictation Siri:

Temporary shutdown iMessage:
- Open Settings > Messages.

- Write and send a message.

Display the full URL
If through iMessage When you send a link, by default only a preview of the link is displayed. However, you can also share the full URL. How do you do that?
- Put periods before and after the URL.

The entire address https://www will then be displayed in the conversation.apple.com/cz/, so the recipient gets all the information about the target page at a glance.
