Red Bull spent more than a year developing its own drone, the only one capable of keeping up with the killer pace Maxe Verstappena and his RB20. Single-seaters can go from 0 to 200km/h in about 4,5 seconds and typically reach speeds of over 300km/h. Regular FPS drones can reach speeds of around 100km/h, and the Red Bull Advanced Technologies has created a drone that can take off from zero to 300km/h in just 4 seconds, faster than an F1 car.
"I never thought I would see a drone fly so fast just for camera footage. He was very close in some places. I was really surprised how he was able to keep up and also how close he was able to get in the corners. It gives a slightly different perspective to watching Formula 1." he stated Max VerstappThe drone was piloted by the well-known FPV pilot Shaggy, whose full name is Ralph Hogenbirk, and you can watch the footage directly in the following video.
