Many of us associate the new year with the purchase of a highway vignette for the next 12 months. Unfortunately, the year 2024 also brings with it a price increase for annual vignettes, which is literally a leap. From the current 1500 CZK, the price will increase to 2300 CZK, while the original proposal even included a price of 3000 CZK. How to buy a 2024 highway stamp at the old price
The trick is to buy a 2024 toll road stamp at the perfect time. The increase in the price of stamps will not start until March 1, 2024, and until then you can buy them for the current price of CZK 1500. And if your toll ticket stops paying later, don't worry, as that can be easily resolved. The validity of the highway stamp can be postponed by one month (30 days to be exact) thanks to the electronic purchase, which in other words means that if you buy an annual highway stamp on February 29 and postpone its validity by a month, it will start to be valid at the end of March 2024 and thus its validity will not expire until April 1, 2025. At the same time, this is a completely legal procedure, which he confirmed to the portal Echo24 spokesman miniTransport Minister Filip Medelský, stating that the price is decisive on the date of purchase of the stamp, not on the start of its validity.
