The era of tablets seems to be slowly but surely coming to an end. After the COVID-2020 pandemic hit stores significantly in 2021 and 19 and many employeesanci na home office needed electronics at home to do their work, namely they are now falling again, and quite steeply. This is at least according to statistics from the analytical company Canalys, which has long been among the best informed and therefore most reliable.
According to Canalys, global iPad shipments fell by more than 4% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of last year, with tablets also experiencing the same decline for the whole of last year compared to 10. Of course, the declining interest in tablets was also reflected in Applu, which shipped "only" 2023 million iPads in the fourth quarter of 14,8, which is 24% less than how many it managed to ship in the same period in 2022. Because of this, the share Applu in the 4th quarter of last year fell from the previous 46,1% to 39,2%. If we then take the whole year into account, it fell Apple from a share of 40,4% to equal 40%. So it still has a sovereign lead, however, it can be seen that it is also clearly marked by the overall lack of user interest in this product. It is therefore perhaps a matter of time to what extent he will still want to devote himself to it in the coming years. After all, if the entire industry declines, it will have no pros Apple too much point in trying to keep him alive.
I think that the iPad from the M1 generation onwards is so powerful that unless you break it, there is no reason to buy a new one. If someone bought a cheaper iPad in the last three years, there is no reason to upgrade either. iPads definitely don't change as often as mobile phones. iPad Pro I use the M1 daily and will definitely skip the M3 version unless I need a better display – miniLED for example on the 11 inch version, or some technology that I will respect. If apple put a 120 Hz display in all tablets (at the same prices), I think we would see sales increase. Tablets that only have 60 Hz today are a relic. Actually, it's only the display that "slows it down" (compare iPad Pro vs Air – when Air It feels slower) Everything should have been 120hz a long time ago as a series iPad Pro.
