A strong wind blew into the Czech Republic, which has been complicating the lives of many people for quite a few hours in most of our territory. The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute has therefore already issued danger warning, which originates from a very fast wind. If you are wondering whether this inconvenience will also affect your place of residence and, if so, to what extent, we have good news for you. We have prepared for you a list of applications that will allow you to monitor the course of the wind.

ventusky
Probably the best wind tracking app is Ventusky. It offers very good animations of the wind, or rather its flow. Thanks to this, users can get a great overview of its direction and strength, which will definitely come in handy in the coming hours and days. In addition, the application has a very nice user interface and it is a real pleasure to work with it. In addition to wind animations, it also offers a complete weather forecast including numerical models, information on snow cover, air pressure, dew point and other things. Its price is 79 crowns. If you don't want to spend this amount, you can probably get by with the web version of the application, which also offers its animation, to monitor the wind.
Windy
Apparently, we don't need to rebuild the Windy application for a long time for domestic apple growers. It is one of the most popular applications of its kind in our country, thanks to both its friendly graphics and the huge amount of information it contains. Among them you will of course also find data about the wind, which is complemented by an animation of its direction. Even from Windy, you can easily find out whether your place of residence will be hit by a hurricane in the next few hours and, consequently, what speed the wind is likely to reach. The gratifying thing is that you get this information from the app completely free of charge.
Weather & Radar
If you're not looking for graphs of wind direction, but you just want to read about its speed in an application that, in my opinion, has one of the most user-friendly graphics for weather applications, Weather & Radar will delight you. It offers a really huge amount of information, which, like most weather applications, is not only recorded in austere tables or graphs, but directly in articles, thanks to which their understanding is often much easier. If you're into tables and graphs, you can of course use them here as well - although not to the same extent as, for example, in the two applications mentioned above.
ČHMÚ and ČHMÚ+
That the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute has its own iOS You have probably already noticed the applications, as they were quite popular after their release. They may not impress with their graphic design, but they will with the amount of data available in them. Temperatures, wind, air quality, tick activity - these applications offer this and much more. Of course, they also have a warning tab, which displays all warnings issued by the institute for the Czech Republic. Now they also have a warning against strong winds that will arrive in our territory with a hurricane. I would recommend downloading these applications just for their complexity.
Yr.no
The Yr.no app is also very good for tracking the wind. Although it is in English, thanks to its graphic processing, you definitely do not need to be fluent in English to understand all the data from it. The application offers a relatively detailed forecast of both temperature and weather developments, as well as changes in wind speed and direction, symbolized by arrows. It goes without saying that there are data such as sunrise/sunset, the amount of precipitation or various graphs predicting both future temperatures and the intensity and direction of the wind. In short, a nice comprehensive application that deserves to be given a chance.
I'm looking out the window.
Na iPhone I really miss the Klára app – none of the apps are as clear and intuitive. And I've tried a lot of them!
