This time it was Deputy Sheriff Luke Heyman from Sarasota, Florida. But two days later he became ill and felt very weak, and a second warning followed. At that moment, according to Heyman's own words, he took notice and decided to get himself investigated.

Although the doctors ruled out a heart attack, they were unable to diagnose the cause at first. According to Heyman, he returned home, but the nausea recurred, as did the resting heart rate of 160 bpm. At the emergency room, he underwent a CT scan using a contrast agent, and the examination revealed several blood clots in his lungs.
