How does a dog see, how does a bee or, for example, a bird see? That's exactly what the latest invention, which scientists from the University of Sussex in Bristol, in conjunction with colleagues from George Mason University, can show us. They have created a new camera and software, thanks to which you can directly record videos as seen by individual animals.
The camera was created for filmmakers and biologists to better understand what animals see. According to the scientists, the camera has an accuracy of 90% and can thus capture 90% of what individual animals see. It mainly helps with understanding how animals orientate themselves in the world around them and also how they communicate with each other. This way we can better understand how they look for food or a mate. The system is assembled from a commonly available camera and the software developed by the scientists is available on github completely free of charge. So if you want and are able to modify your camera and connect this software to it, then there is nothing stopping you. Just go to the following link and download everything you need here.
