As in previous years, in 2023 the most searched term on Heureka was by far the term iPhoneWith the exception of July and December, searches dominated throughout the year, with customers finding their dream phone through 318 unique search queries and distortions.

Everything around us is changing at a rapid pace, but the winner of the most frequently entered expression on Heureka hardly changes. The winner for the previous two years was iPhone and this did not change in 2023. In the Czech Republic, it was searched for a total of 420 times. Phones in general are among the most frequently searched categories on Heureka. “The long-term trend has been confirmed again, where in the year a new model is launched, the price of the previous series drops slightly, which increases interest in it. However, it is interesting that in the meantime the new model iPhone 15 didn't even make it into the top 10, a two-year-old model iPhone 13 is even taller than the penultimate model iPhone 14,” says Michal Buzek, head of analytics at shopping guide Heureka.cz, about the results.

Bright dominoancand iPhone sales were disrupted by a heat wave in July, which increased interest in refrigerators, and in December by Lego. Building kits are generally among the best-selling toys on the Czech Internet, accounting for a third of toys sold online. In Slovakia, iPhone dominated searches in all months of the year.

The other positions remained almost unchanged with the results for 2022, the jumper of the year, which newly entered the top 20 of the Czech Heureka, is the term “pneu”. Then they disappeared from the ranking airpods, which were replaced by the general term headphones. In Slovakia, it is following in the footsteps of the phone with a bitten apple on its back Samsung Galaxy S23, but users only enter s23 to search for it. It is interesting that in Slovakia they also search for specific brands more often, with two of them among the 15 most frequently searched terms, while in the Czech Republic general terms dominate the table.  A total of 2023 unique expressions were searched for the Czech version of Heureka in 23.
