Even this year, various fraudsters will obviously not rest. The Digital and Information Agency (DIA), which is behind, for example, the recently launched application eDoklady for uploading the ID card to a mobile phone, warned on the social network X about a new fraud that is now spreading in the Czech Republic. Specifically, these are fraudulent text messages that appear to inform users that they will receive an unspecified tax refund for the year 2023, requiring them to log in via a link sent in the message in order to claim this "refund". The catch, however, is that the links lead to fake websites copying the design of the Citizen Portal, asking users for login and other personal information. Although DIA tries to block all these sites as quickly as possible, however, considering that they are really a perfect copy of the Citizen's Portal, it is unfortunately quite likely that fraudsters will "trick" Lecko and get his personal data. So be careful and if you get a similar text message, ignore it. The tax office would certainly not send you a similar SMS.
⚠️ Fraudsters are not losing their breath and are getting more and more inventive. 😠
The latest attack, which is sent via SMS, looks like this: OBCAN: Your 2023 tax refund is ready, log in here: http://obcan.c z-gov-e. net/ to claim.
