If you're fascinated by space, you've definitely heard of the eRosita X-ray telescope, which has been capturing X-ray images of what's "going on above our heads" for some time now. It is this telescope that scientists have now used to create the largest and most detailed picture of the universe that has ever been created. It consists of a total of 170 million images and is definitely worth a look. Thanks to it, it is possible to get a slightly better picture of the space in which our planet moves. You can see the image specifically below on the video, which presents it from many angles.
Specifically, the map captures more than 900 stars, but also galaxies and black holes. In a way, the funny thing is that the scanning of the sky took place between December 000 and June 2019, and until now scientists were "putting" the photo together. It is therefore practically certain that some of the stars that are in the photo have already disappeared, for example by explosion or extinction. Even so, it is nevertheless the most valuable thing that scientists currently have at their disposal in terms of captured space.
Fantastic.
