Both products, i.e. dimLED Tuya PR 2K and dimLED Tuya PR 5K, which I had the opportunity to test in combination with a 24V CCT panel, an RGBCCT LED strip and several types of handy remote controls that can be combined with each other within the dimLED range, together with the application for smartphpons to offer multiple ways of controlling the selected assembly and thus provide a high level of comfort.
Packaging and physical properties
If you decide to opt for a smart lighting solution through dimLED Tuya PR 2K or dimLED Tuya PR 5K, you will receive an inconspicuous white box, in which you will find, in addition to the receiver itself in white, a manual in Czech with all the necessary instructions for variaBoth models share the same relatively modest proportions (just a little larger than a house bird)onek), when they take up only 114 mm in width, 38 mm in depth and 20 mm in height. Considering the dimensions and the fact that direct visibility between the receivers and transmitters is not required for operation, installation, for example, under plasterboard or embedded in a cabinet and the like, is problem-free, while the cutouts for attaching to the substrate on the sides make installation even easier, as does the clear description of the individual inputs and outputs. On the left side there are positive and negative inputs, next to which is the DC konewhich for connecting the power adapter and on the surface we find the MATCH/SET button and an LED indicator informing about the status. The configuration of the outputs on the right is different depending on the model.

What dimLED Tuya PR 2K and dimLED Tuya PR 5K have in common, apart from the dimensions, is Wi-Fi 2,4 Ghz, compatibility with all dimLED RF controllers working in the mentioned band, the possibility to set parameters via the application Tuya Smart or Smart Life available in App Store and on Google Play and there is also support for voice control via Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or SmartThings Bixby Samsung. The products also do not differ in the range for communication with controllers up to a distance of 30 m and a clear advantage is that you can pair up to 10 controllers with one receiver, while dimLED Tuya PR 2K and 5K can also function as WiFi-RF converters, thanks to which nothing prevents you from controlling other RF receivers through them. The IP20 protection level predetermines the system for indoor use, while the temperature range of -30 to + 55° Celsius allows it to be placed, for example, in corridors, passages, etc. Another positive aspect is that if the power is interrupted and then reconnected (for example, due to a power outage), the receiver has a memory for the intensity setting, which will return to the last set level.
On the contrary, we find the differences in capabilities, output and input voltage and possible load. The dimLED Tuya PR 2K receiver is designed for single-color and CCT LED panels or strips and offers dimming from maxIt has a full dimming without any annoying flickering effect, along with chromaticity adjustment. It operates with a voltage of 12-36V DC and can withstand a load of 5A per channel, a total of 10A.

With the dimLED Tuya PR 5K, color comes into play, adding to what the dimLED Tuya PR 2K can do, additional functions that allow setting individual shades and can also be used to control RGB, RGBW and RGB+CCT elements. In addition, it enriches the use with 10 pre-installed effects. The voltage range is 12-24V DC and as for the load, we have 5 3A channels available, so a total of 15A.
Pairing and control
Whether you choose to pair with the app on your phone or your chosen remote control as your first path is up to you. I started by connecting with Smart Life. After downloading and launching the software, you will be asked to agree to the Privacy Policy and then be directed to register, where you can use any email address or use the Google services and Applu. You will then be presented with a classic set of permissions to access the local network and Bluetooth, or the Home app on your iPhone.
To add any of the receivers, simply hold the MATCH button for about 2 seconds or press it briefly twice in a row and then press the "+" symbol in the upper right corner in the application, which will search for available devices and offer you the option to add them. The interface is clear and, depending on the type of lighting, provides full control from brightness and temperature settings to choosing a color tone and a specific scene, up to the "Music", which ensures that the setup responds to music. The user also has a number of settings at their disposal, including renaming or grouping with other supported smart home equipment.

Remote controls of the dimLED series represent another way to control Tuya PR 2K and 5K dimLED receivers. I had 3 of them at my disposal, specifically the one-channel one with an effective design LINE RGBCCT, universal four-channel OVS ALLMIX 4PCS and lastly OV PNS RGBCCT 5in1 4CH in the format of a classic wall switch with 4 channels, which probably interested me the most. In the packaging of each of the mentioned products, you will come across a manual that will clearly guide you through the process of mounting on a wall or other surface, as well as pairing.

Personal impressions and evaluations
Personally, I consider one of the biggest advantages of receivers to be the speed of response, both in combination with the telephone.onem, so with the mentioned remote controls. When following the instructions, I did not encounter any problems, pairing took place in a matter of seconds and the reactions were almost immediate. So you definitely do not have to worry about any unpleasant delays. Especially multi-zone varianty allowing to control several receivers through a single device are extremely practical. Both tested sets maintained the connection even across the floor and even when I went outside the house. In an open space, I got across the road at about 26 m without any loss of communication. The advantage of controlling in several ways records the classic situation when you want to adjust the lighting while watching a movie, which you do from the comfort of the sofa on your phone, but when you leave the room, or if you intend to engage in another activity, you prefer to use some conveniently placed remote control to turn it off or adjust it. Overall, I can say that after my experience with some competing products in building a smart home, I was impressed by the capabilities, agility and variaThe dimLED Tuya PR 2K and dimLED Tuya PR 5K receivers pleasantly surprised me with their functionality. Perhaps the only thing that seems a bit strange is the application environment, which, with the default language setting "Same as the system language", is partly in Czech and partly in English. This does not hinder convenient operation, but I would welcome full support for Czech.
Price
They are on point in terms of price dimLED Tuya PR 2K a dimLED Tuya PR 5K anyway. At the dealer T-LED you can get them for a friendly 699 CZK, while the purchase of any of the controllers certainly won't break the bank. For example, the aforementioned 4-zone dimLED OV PNS RGBCCT 5in1 4CH costs CZK 620 in white and black. So if you are thinking about lighting in your smart home, dimLED receivers are a suitable and effective solution.
