Sales of the first AR/VR headset started yesterday Vision Pro from the workshop Applu brought with it answers to a number of questions that the Californian giant has so far refused to answer. One of them is how this headset will be integrated into the network. Apple Find, which is used to track the location of devices and thus, for example, to locate them in case of loss. Unfortunately, the answer to this question is definitely not positive, on the contrary.

In a new supporting document which Apple published a few hours ago, it is reported that the location Apple Vision Pro cannot be found through the network and therefore through others Apple device or website iCloud.com track. Vision Pro it does support Find as such, but only to a very limited extent - specifically through the activation lock, after turning on which the headset cannot be restored without knowing the account and password that was previously logged in to it (this is the same system we know from iPhones, Apple Watch or others Apple products). As a result, although it is true that the headset is relatively uninteresting for thieves, since they will not be able to remove the user account from it after the theft and then sell it on as fully functional, however, if a person simply loses it, it will be much more difficult to find it than is the case with iPhones. Alone Apple extra Vision Pro presents it as a device also suitable for travel, where the risk of loss naturally increases.
Why isn't u Vision Pro full support Find available though Apple does not state in the supporting document, however, it is very likely that it is partly due to the absence of GPS, partly due to the missing U1 or U2 chip, but mainly due to the detachable power supply. During transport, the headset will in the vast majority of cases always be transported with the battery disconnected and thus in a non-functional state. It is therefore not capable of any communication with the surroundings, which means that any localization services are completely excluded here.
