System Settings
You can access the individual System Preferences elements on your Mac either from Apple menu -> System Preferences, as well as from Spotlight. The second varianta is definitely faster and more efficient in cases where you know exactly what you need. Just activate Spotlight and then enter the name of the relevant section in the text field – Accessibility, Desktop and Dock and more.
Web search
You can use Spotlight on your Mac for more than just searching your Mac's storage. It also works as an effective tool for finding content on the web. On your Mac, activate Spotlight, then type the appropriate term into the search box. Use a keyboard shortcut instead of pressing Enter Cmd+B, and a new panel will open Safari with the results of your query.
Contacts
Spotlight is a handy helper that gets really everywhere – even to the contacts you have stored in the relevant application on your Mac. So if you want, you can use Spotlight for this purpose as well. Activate Spotlight, then start typing the first and last name of the contact in the search field. Spotlight will show you the matching business card in no time.
Advanced calculator
Spotlight on your Mac can also work great as an advanced calculator and conversion tool of all kinds. If you want to use Spotlight for calculations, activate it and simply type the given example into the search field. For conversions, just enter the text in the style "XY meters to feet".
The path to the file or folder
There are several ways to view the path to a selected file or folder on a Mac. One of them is the use of Spotlight. If you want to use Spotlight to display the path to a file or folder, start it in the usual way first. Then find the file or folder in it, and then just hold down the Cmd key. You should see the path to the item at the bottom of the results window.
