Reuters reported over the weekend about a somewhat unbelievable lawsuit that must Apple now face. It revolves specifically around the bribes he has Apple accept from Visa and Mastercard, which are supposed to be really high. The reason is simple – the “peace” that comes from AppVisa and Mastercard will obtain.

The plaintiffs specifically allege that, thanks to bribes from Visa and Mastercard se Apple does not intend to create its own payment network that would in any way compete with these two companies. This would ultimately be very serious for them, as any change to the current payment network system could mean a reduction in credit and debit card processing fees for merchants and therefore less cash flow for Mastercarda Visu. Perhaps even more interesting is that it is precisely because of these bribes that he has Apple to hold at least in part NFC only for Apple Pay, since any major opening of it could again Mastercard or damage Vis. However, since the whole plot is still at the very beginning and we don't have much information about the lawsuit, there is no point in making any hasty conclusions. The truth could ultimately be anywhere.
