MEDDI hub, the company behind the development of the MEDDI telemedicine application app, received the Innovation Award at the Preventionar 2023 Awards. The awards were presented at the World Congress of Healthy Companies, which focuses on health and a healthy lifestyle for employees.ancand which took place in Quito, Ecuador, in mid-November.
A jury of occupational medicine experts selected MEDDI hub as the winner based on the project "Transforming prevention in the workplace: Innovation and the role of telemedicine." Using such a service not only has a positive effect on the health of employees, but alsoancand their family members, but it also reflects on the overall performance of the company. Telemedicine saves employees timeanctime that would otherwise be spent in waiting rooms or doctors' offices, but it also reduces employers' costs in real terms. Studies have shown that telemedicine can save up to 30 percent of the time that would otherwise be spent in waiting rooms or doctors' offices.anc"They spent time at the doctor's office anyway," he adds.

Thanks to modern technologies, it ensures fast, reliable and accessible health care directly at the workplace or anywhere else. A doctor can listen to the patient, recommend a suitable treatment procedure, issue an ePrescription or request for examination, explain laboratory results or advise on choosing a suitable specialist. EmployancThis way, employees will receive immediate and comprehensive solutions to health problems without the need to physically visit a doctor. Of course, there may be situations where the doctor determines that an immediate examination is absolutely necessary - then the employee will at least know that the trip to the doctor will not be a waste of time.
