Although the first AR/VR headset Applu Vision Pro it's not selling yet and probably won't be selling for quite a few months, so the Californian giant has no idea how successful the store will be, it's already working on its successors. Earlier reports said that the development of other AR/VR headsets has been stopped, however, a fresh report from Asia's DigiTimes claims that the exact opposite is true. There are four new headsets in development.
According to DigiTimes sources, one of the headsets being developed should be a direct successor Vision Pro, the second one is a cheaper version aimed at less demanding users. As for the other two headsets in development, the sources have not yet provided any details, so we can only guess whether they will be, for example, some kind of intermediate level between expensive and cheap. varianto, or a high-end version or a model targeting a completely different user group than it is now. In any case, we will have to wait quite a long time for the introduction of any headset from this four. DigiTimes sources specifically claim that the first pieces under development should go on sale no earlier than the second half of 2025, and a significant delay cannot be ruled out. It is precisely with regard to the very distant release date that it is clear that the final appearance or functionality of the product may not yet be – and probably is not – finally finalized.
