Company Apple offers users in the operating system iOS 17 control over what apps can see when it comes to your calendars. A whole bunch of apps require access to Calendar on your iPhone, but only a fraction of them actually need it. If you want to keep your privacy on the maximum, you can deny selected apps on your iPhone access to Calendar.

In the operating system iOS 16 allowed Apple users could allow or deny individual apps access to their calendars with a simple on/off switch, but that was about all you could do in that regard. In the operating system iOS 17, instead of just two, there are now three options available. You can either give apps full access to your calendars, only allow them to add events, or remove access entirely. The following guide will show you how.

How to control and manage app access to Calendar on iPhone

If you want to use your iPhone with iOS 17 To specify which applications will have access to Calendar and modify access to events, follow the instructions below.

On your iPhone, launch Settings.

Tap Privacy & Security.

Tap Calendars.

Select the application for which you want to modify access to the calendar.

Select None, Add Events Only, or Full Access as needed.

That's it. When you download a new app that wants to access your calendar, you'll be prompted to choose from the three options mentioned, and the app will be added to the same Calendar list in Settings, allowing you to change access at any time in the future. iPhone It will also regularly remind you of apps that have access to your calendars and offer the option to limit access to events only.
