Showing ads is the main component of YouTube's income, so it's no wonder that users don't like the use of their blockers at all. That's why it recently started fighting against AdBlocks and similar programs, and it seems to be fighting on several fronts. While somewhere he is trying to convince ad blocker users of the good news through pop-ups that are supposed to de facto ask them to turn it off, elsewhere he has taken a much more radical step in the form of blocking playback until the blockers are turned off. Now, blocker users have started to notice another weapon that YouTube has pulled out.

Specifically, we are talking about the slowdown in video loading, which occurs both in third-party browsers and in Chrome. At first, users explained this by a bug that Google will soon fix on YouTube, but instead of fixing it, it came out with a statement that the slow loading of videos is not a bug, but an intention and only occurs when an ad blocker is active. To return the loading speed to normal, you need to either turn off the blocker and continue watching with ads, or switch to YouTube Premium, which does not contain ads, but is logically charged. Whether these steps will actually contribute to the eradication of ad blockers, however, only time will tell. Already, opinions are emerging that DIYers will come up with a solution that Google will not be able to eliminate, and all its efforts will therefore be in vain.
