Black Friday 2023 is different from previous ones, at least in terms of what the law imposes on retailers. For the very first time in the history of the Czech Republic, this year on November 24, 11, we will see Black Friday according to the new rules. Since the first of January this year, a new rule has been in effect, thanks to which sellers can no longer increase the price in the short term and then entice a sale. According to the rules that apply, it should be easier for people to navigate the discounts and find out how much the goods are actually discounted. Newly, the law orders traders to calculate the discount from the lowest price of the product for the last 2023 days of sale of this product.
If a store were to increase the price of any goods, it would have to do so miniat least for 30 days before he put the goods on sale, which in practice would mean that the goods would not be sold much all month. The current discount amount that you will encounter on Black Friday 2023 is therefore calculated from the lowest price at which the seller sold the goods in the last 30 days.
