If there's one thing where iPhones lag behind the competition, it's their charging speed. This is because it is not too high in both the wired and wireless versions, and what's more, in order to get fast wireless and wired charging, you need to pay extra for charging accessories. In the case of cable charging, it is at least a 20W power adapter, for wireless charging it is necessary to reach for certified MagSafe chargers, which can charge iPhones 12 and newer up to 15W, while standard wireless charging only runs at 7,5W. However, it seems that the boom in fast wireless charging is just around the corner - so miniAt least for iPhones 15 (Pro), which are the first smartphones in the world to support Qi2.

Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), the organization "in charge" of managing wireless charging standards, announced today that the first Qi2 wireless chargers will soon be on the market, which is very good news for Apple fans. Why? Simply because Qi2 is, in very simple terms, a general MagSafe standard that manufacturers can use on their smartphones and accessories at their discretion. This standard works on the same principle as MagSafe, with up to 15W charging or optimal charging through magnetic attachment of the charger to the phone exactly in the place with the coil. And since this standard is general, it is cheaper than the MagSafe or Made for MagSafe certification, which is awarded directly by AppleIn other words, this means that the world is in for a flood of new Qi2 chargers in the coming months, which will iPhonech will unlock the full potential of wireless charging more cheaply than it is now. Just for fun, there are currently more than 100 Qi2 devices in the WPC certification process, while we could count certified MagSafe chargers on the fingers of one, maxideally with two hands. I'll just add that yes, the price difference will be significant compared to the Magsafe, but so will the difference between the current Qi and the Qi2. Manufacturers claim that Qi2 models will be up to 2x more expensive than the same model with current Qi.
and what is the difference between the current 15W (e.g. ChoeTech 15W Removable Wireless MagSafe Charger for iPhone for 249 CZK) and some Qi2, both can fast 15W charging!?
ChoeTech should not officially charge 15W because it is not certified.
It will charge a 15W mobile phone with Qi, but not iPhone, it will limit it to 7,5W.
And then there is the Xiaomi with 40 W wireless 🗿. You know, isheeps 😆.
