Operating system iOS as we know it will partially end next year. The European Union has recently Appordered to allow the installation of third-party applications on iPhones App Store, as a new directive will soon come into force, which would replace the current model AppAnd if she had Apple did not want to comply, he would run the risk of huge fines or, in extreme cases, even a ban on iPhone sales in the EU. For this very reason, he has already started preparing to open the operating system iOS alternative app stores that allow you to install them outside of App Store – that is, without having to pay 15% or 30% commission on purchases. And this plan Apple will be implemented according to Mark Gurman's sources in the first half of next year.

Gurman sources specifically came up with the fact that Apple is about to introduce a kind of "highly controlled system" that will allow users in the EU to install applications from sources other than App Store. It seems that the fear that these applications would be dangerous is not entirely unfounded, although very little information is available about the whole novelty. As for its availability, Gurman's sources are convinced that the introduction will not be Apple not wanting to delay too long, so he launches everything as soon as he's ready. Specifically, the first half of next year is expected, and we will probably see it in the first quarter.

We can only guess at the moment how significantly this new feature will affect the overall availability of applications, however, given that the above-mentioned commission Applu was unacceptable to many developers, it is possible that its supposed abolition of the possibility of releasing applications outside App Store will mean a big application boom, including in terms of AAA games. But of course, everything will only be revealed next year.
