Despite that Apple not yet put on sale Vision Pro, is already working on its second generation. Working on the second generation Vision Pro they take place under the code name Project Alaska and the device itself bears the designation N109. The second generation is very similar Vision Pro, which Apple presented at WWDC 2023. Basically, the only known difference in terms of design so far is the change in speaker placement and the changed back strap.

Unlike the first generation, which has rounded feet with speakers placed at ear level, the second generation is said to have speakers along the entire length of the feet, which should provide a better impression of 3D sound. Documents related to the Alaska project also contain references to mysterious audio accessories, probably an external speaker or special headphones that can be connected to Vision Pro second generation.

Another novelty is the change of the back strap. In the second generation, it is significantly simpler in terms of design. Simply put, it is a strap that we know from ordinary backpacks, although its processing will be, of course, completely different. Apple but will no longer use onen complex accordion strap. In addition, it should be possible to change the straps. Apple also works on a new battery which will be the same as u Vision Pro first generation external. Apple should start testing the second generation Vision Pro in early 2025, with the intention of putting it on sale in late 2025 or early 2026.
