Nowadays, there are more and more users who use dictation to take notes and texts of all kinds. In today's article, we take a closer look at an application called Whisper Memos, which aims to move dictation and subsequent work with text to Apple devices to a whole new level.
Dictation is definitely a great thing. Whatever your reasons for using it, it's an easy, fast and efficient way to convert voice to text without having to keep your hands busy typing on a keyboard. In practice, however, we can encounter a whole range of obstacles when dictating, such as synchronization problems, difficult voice recognition or perhaps inaccurate transcription. Whisper Memos app solves these ailments.
Whisper Memos - the basics
The Whisper Memos application allows you to convert speech to text, and then automatically sends the created text to the email address you enter. Whisper Memos is a really smart application in many ways. For example, it has a function of automatically sorting longer text into paragraphs. The creators of Whisper Memos are constantly improving their application, so it is compatible with the latest versions of operating systems from Applu, as well as with the latest models of apple devices.
Thanks to this, Whisper Memos offers compatibility with native shortcuts, so owners of the latest smartphones can start recording by pressing the action button, and owners of older models can assign the corresponding action to a double tap on the back of the iPhone. Of course, there is also support widgeton the desktop and lock screen of your iPhone. The Whisper Memos application uses OpneAI's Whisper technology, and thanks to the support of artificial intelligence, it can provide users with even better services.
Creating and sharing records
The Whisper Memos app is available for both iPhone, so also for Apple Watch. It offers the possibility of automatic detection of the dictation language, but you can also set the language manually. Here you can activate automatic paragraph detection, which will make the resulting email look really great. You don't have to be limited to automatic email when sharing recordings - you can manually share the note in other ways if you tap the recorded recording tab and then tap the share icon in the upper right corner.
Now let's take a look together at how Whisper Memos works in practice. We tried dictating the opening paragraphs from this article into the application in Czech to check how well they understand and whether they can actually divide the text into paragraphs. The entire recording was just over one minute long, Whisper Memos offers the option to record up to fifteen minutes of recording.
It only took a few seconds to process our test recording. On screenshotYou can see that the application coped with not only common words but also expressions such as "OpenAI". The division into two paragraphs happened automatically, naturally and absolutely flawlessly. The resulting email with the text also looks very good.

Compatible with iPhone features
As we mentioned in the introduction, WhisperMemos also promises compatibility with specific features and apps on the iPhone, whether it's the native Shortcuts app or accessibility features. On screenshotBelow you can see how we assigned a shortcut to the app, which we named Whisper Memos. After saying the command "Siri"Whisper Memos" the application was immediately launched and recording began - the collaboration Siri so it also works absolutely flawlessly. A great bonus is the fact that after activation using the shortcut, there is no need to manually start recording - the recording starts completely automatically.
Whisper Memos and the competition
You might be wondering why you should use Whisper Memos and not, for example, the native dictation function, which is also available on the iPhone, completely free of charge. In this respect, it is a purely individual matter, and it depends on what suits each person. In my opinion, Whisper Memos offered significantly more reliability than dictation in terms of transcribing the recording - there were practically no errors in the resulting transcription.
Its advantage is also that it offers enormous efficiency and time savings. Simply launch the application (or activate the relevant shortcut) and WhisperMemos will take care of everything itself, including sending the transcript to the email you entered.
I've tried a number of dictation apps on the iPhone in the past, but none of them have worked for me.onec did not remain, mostly due to inaccuracy of transcription, unreliability, or due to more complicated operation.
I like WhisperMemos not only because it really understands Czech flawlessly, but also because it is a really smart and reliable helper that can really save time and work effectively, and will do the vast majority of things for you. All you really need to do is launch the application and start dictating. For Mac, applications such as SuperWhisper or MacWhisper are available in this direction, which work on a similar principle. However, they come from a different developer and are intended for the macOS operating system.

Whisper Memos is a really cool app with lots of useful features. It boasts a well-crafted, perfectly clear user interface and reliability. It is important to remember that Whisper Memos – as the name of the app clearly suggests – is an app for taking voice notes, not a dictaphone.onem. The recording length is therefore limited to 15 minutes. Longer footage could cause problems when automatically sending it to e-mail.
Throughout the time we had the opportunity to test the app, Whisper Memos worked smoothly, reliably, and quickly. Its operation is intuitive, immediately after installation you can start using the application without any worries, without having to study instructions and procedures at length.
The Whisper Memos app is free to download, with the free version you can take and send up to ten high-quality memos. The subscription costs a very pleasant 75 crowns per month.
