Server & Hosting 9to5Mac published an interesting table this week comparing the performance of all Apple chips, and it is definitely an interesting sight. The Geekbench test results last week showed that the performance of the M3 chip Max v MacBookThe Pro 2023 almost exactly matches the performance M2 Ultra v maxin heavily loaded machines Mac Studio a Mac ProIn the single-core test, the M3 achieves Max average score of ~2980. In the multi-core test, the M3 achieves Max values around ~20800. Compared to the previous best silicon chip Apple, M2 Ultra, which scores ~2800 and ~21000, respectively, is a very favorable result. You can see the graph in the photo gallery below.
So this means that the best chip found in laptops from Applu, now matches the most powerful chips for desktop Macs, which are included in the models Mac Studio a Mac Pro.M3 chip Max has compared to the previous M2 Max higher performance thanks to the transition to the 3nm process. It also offers more powerful cores (12 versus 8). M2 Ultra is still number one, but very accurately. In the ranking, both configurations M2 Ultra maintained first and second positions, but the top version of the M3 Max is only a fraction behind. M3 Ultra – but with its introduction Apple so far he is taking his time. All comparisons are made in Geekbench 6 Multi-core.
Unfortunately, after the first tests and infections that started to surface... Quite disappointing, especially M3 Pro, which is almost as fast as M2 Pro. So who has M2 Pro, can be at peace. Who waited for M3 Pro, like me, it's a better choice M2 PRO, or wait for one of the following generations M4 PRO, or M5 PRO, but there is nowhere to gochat. The M1 still works great for me, so there's no reason to change. I'm kind of hoping that a redesign might come with the M4 or M5 series. mac mini, that would be awesome!
Don't whine and go get a job Apple. And you can show them how you do it….
Nothing surprised me
